Beach Boutique

To capture the essence of their beach lifestyle boutique brand, Indigo Octopus, the owners envisioned a minimalist, Instagram-friendly space with a unique boho-chic flair. Kimmel Studio partnered with them to renovate an existing commercial space within the Wildwood Shopping Center in Bethesda, MD. Our approach combined both interior design and interior architecture to create not just an aesthetically pleasing space, but an immersive brand experience.

To align with the boho-chic aesthetic, the interior design leaned towards a white monochromatic color scheme with pops of beachwood detailing. This strategy aimed to evoke the serenity of a beach house retreat within the commercial space. Exposed beams, custom inlaid circular shelving alcoves, and dressing room doorways all contributed to the overall interior architecture, perpetuating the charm of a bohemian experience.

Subtle pops of greenery and textured elements were layered within the minimalist design to complete the look and inspire social media content.
